From 9 – 12 December 2013, the XXIII General Assembly of OLACEFS took place in Santiago de Chile, Chile in which 123 representatives participated . In addition to almost all OLACEFS members, the SAI of China as chair of INTOSAI, the General Secretariat of INTOSAI, the Director of Strategic Planning, IDI, the International Journal of Government Auditing, the OECD, the Organization of American States (OAS), the Inter-American Development Bank, UNODC and the ECA took part as invited visitors and observers. The SAIs of South Africa, Suriname, the Cayman Islands, Cameroon, Macao and Guyana were also represented. Furthermore, civil society organizations participated for the first time at the OLACEFS General Assembly.

 

The Office of the Comptroller General, in his capacity as Chairman of OLACEFS Regional Training Committee (CRC) and the Committee on Performance Evaluation and Performance Indicators (CEDEIR) and coordinator of the Working Group "Manuals, guidelines and observations to the Charter and Regulations of OLACEFS "(GTN), informed the Board of Directors and the Assembly the activities that have been done in the period October 2012 - November 2013 and sustained projects, plans and budgets for the next period; likewise the Office reported the progress in the organization of the XXIV OLACEFS General Assembly to be held in Cusco, Peru on November 24-28, 2014 and participated in the OLACEFS Committees and Commissions fair.

 

Also, the Comptroller General of the Republic of Peru presented the technical topic "Impact of SAI Performance Measurement Framework: CEDEIR - SAI-PMF, OLACEFS-INTOSAI synergy", the developments in the Knowledge Management Projects and the cooperation with the Inter-American Development Bank, as well as putting into consideration the Manual of Advisory and Technical Assistance and the Proposal for modification to the Charter and Regulations of OLACEFS, drawn up by the GTN.
