Article 82°
The Office of the Comptroller General is a decentralized entity of public law which enjoys autonomy under its organic law. It is the highest organ of the National System of Control. It supervises the legality of the execution of the State Budget, the operations of the public debt and the acts of the controlled institutions.
The Comptroller General is proposed by the Executive and chosen by the Congress, for seven years. The Comptroller General can be removed by the Congress for misconduct.
