The Department of Technical Cooperation is the dependent organ of the General Secretariat, responsible for directing and implementing actions concerning international relations with SAIs and international organizations involved with the institutional role, as well as the promotion of technical cooperation with international organizations and the management of inter-institutional partnerships with national entities. All of them aim to strengthen the National System of Control.

 

The functions of the Department of Technical Cooperation are:

  • Identify and manage non-reimbursable technical cooperation. Follow up the actions and activities of non-reimbursable technical cooperation.

  • Encourage training opportunities internationally, promoting the exchange of experiences and knowledge oriented to the development and strengthening of institutional competencies.

  • Promote and encourage the participation of the institution in the activities and events of INTOSAI and OLACEFS, as well as other agencies and international institutions associated with the management of the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic.

  • Promote, develop, negotiate and monitor strategic partnerships and interagency agreements, assessing their results in the management of the institution and the National System of Control.

  • Organize and conduct cooperation activities related to technical visits, internships, trainings abroad and others, in coordination with the organizational units of the institution involved with agencies or international organizations.
