The Office of the Comptroller General has an important role inside many committees and working groups of INTOSAI, participating in different meetings and contributing with the development of the supreme audit. The following committees, subcommittees and working groups are the ones Peru is involved:

 

GOAL 1: Professional Standards Committee (PSC)

 

The Office is part of one of the subcommittees of the PSC: Accounting and Reporting Subcommittee, which is in charge of studying issues concerning public sector accounting and financial reporting.

 

GOAL 2: Capacity Building Committee (CBC)

 

Subcommittee 2: Develop Advisory and Consultant Services: The Subcommittee has been composed, since its creation in the Capacity Building Committee meeting in March 2006, by the SAIs of Slovenia, Fiji, Morocco, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Peru, as Chair. The SAI of Germany was a member of the Subcommittee 2 until August, 2011.

 

The Subcommittee 2 has three lines of action:

 

- First line of action: Creating a database of experts and investigators who could aid other SAIs in the development of new capacities and share knowledge thru advisory and consultancy services.

 

- Second line of action: Encouraging joint and coordinated or parallel auditing programs.

 

- Third line of action: Encouraging Internship Programs.

 

 

GOAL 3: Knowledge Sharing and Knowledge Services Committee (KSC)

 

Working Group on IT Audit (WGIT)

 

The Working Group on Information Technology Audit aims to support SAIs in developing their knowledge and skills in the use and audit of information technology by providing information and facilities for the exchange of experiences, and encouraging bilateral and regional cooperation.

Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA)

 

INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) aims to encourage the use of audit mandates and audit methods in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development by both members of the Working Group and non-member SAIs.

Working Group on the Fight against Corruption and Money Laundering (WGFACML)

 

The Working Group promotes a proactive role and international cooperation between INTOSAI & their members, in reference to fight against money laundering in a consistent manner with the competencies and authorities of SAIs and independent requirements of INTOSAI.

Working Group on Value and Benefits of SAIs

 

The Working Group on the Value and Benefits of SAIs was established during XIX INCOSAI to develop a framework and measurement tools for defining the value and benefits of SAIs. This group is also responsible for the creating an updated and specialized information database, regarding specific information of SAIs around the world.
