The current Institutional Strategic Plan (PEI) 2012 – 2014 is the management instrument that allows us to continue the execution of the guidelines defined in the previous plan, incorporating the necessary adjustment that corresponds to the changes. These changes have the purpose of implementing the New Approach of Control (NEC) in order to modernize the Office of the Comptroller General, making it more effective and efficient in the compliance of the legal precept. This promotes the development of an efficient and modern management of the public resources in benefit of all Peruvians, contributing to the governability of the country.

The achievements of the Office of the Comptroller General since the execution of the previous plan are the decentralization and deconcentration of the National System of Control (SNC), the effective incorporation of the Institutional Control Bodies (OCI), the promotion of internal control for its implementation in the public institutions and the extension of the faculty of sanction regarding functional administrative responsibility. These achievements, as well as the changes in the environment are necessary to contribute with the efforts in the fight against corruption in the public administration and a better efficiency in social programs are the foundations that support the PEI 2012 – 2014. Its execution is an unavoidable commitment to all the employees of the institution.
