

The Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions is an international, autonomous, independent, and apolitical and permanent character organization created in 1963 under the need for a superior forum to exchange ideas and experiences related to governmental and fiscal control and the promotion of cooperation and developing relationships between those entities.
OLACEFS has the following purposes:
• Specialized scientific research
• Development of study assignments, training, expertise, advice and technical assistance
• Training and coordination at the service of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Latin America and the Caribbean.
• OLACEFS collects the conceptual vision of an organization that encourages the participation of different Supreme Audit Institutions in their own development and improvement.
OLACEFS has a large history that began in 1963 when it came the idea of setting up the Latin American Institute of Audit Control (ILACIF), done in 1965. OLACEFS exists under its current name since 1990.

Capacity Building Committee (CCC)
The Capacity Building Committee (CCC) is an organ of OLACEFS whose mission is to promote and manage the development of SAIs professional and institutional capacities in order to increase the effectiveness of management and modernization of the public administration.
The SAIs members of the CCC are Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Peru, as chair.

Performance Evaluation and Indicators Commission (CEDEIR)
The Performance Evaluation and Indicators Commission (CEDEIR) was created in the X OLACEFS General Assembly as a permanent technical body, designed to manage knowledge for the benefit of the organization and the member SAIs on issues related to performance evaluation and strategic management and its control. The SAIs members of the CEDEIR are Brasil, Chile, El Salvador, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Peru, as chair.

Manuals, guides and observations to the Charter and Regulations of OLACEFS (GTN)
The Working Group "Manuals, guides and observations to the Charter and Regulations of OLACEFS" aims to develop the necessary regulatory provisions for the proper functioning of OLACEFS and introduce the required improvements to the regulatory body approved in the XXII OLACEFS General Assembly.
The SAI members of this working group are Argentina, Belice, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay and Peru, as chair.
